Coastway Retreat is a new build house design, based on the eclectic and renowned Sandbanks in Dorset. The client was looking to add a striking house to their growing property portfolio which showcased the best of architecture, civil engineering and interior design - to become a show home for their business and a place to entertain clients.

The house works hard to create clever areas which are divided into public and private spaces, offering a hierarchy of requirements as you transition through the spaces. Cantilevers have been used to dramatically overhang the top floor, which is private accommodation, allowing the top box, one of 3 linear shapes to float across the other two - playing homage to a shipping container off the coast of Dorset.
